something good

i wanted to ask him if he could tell me something good,
but then i looked up and saw that
his eyes were nearly shut.

he was holding me close
with both his arms;
whispered like a feather, “my love.“

this isn’t something good,
it’s much more than that.

seasons

like the change in seasons

that causes leaves to turn brown

the smallest of realizations

initiated by a melody, a word or a feeling

has the power to turn the reality i know upside down
